Let the Hall Tell the Truth: Why Pre-Policy Steroid-Era Stars Belong in Cooperstown
Baseball can’t celebrate the steroid era’s highlights while pretending the era didn’t happen. Cooperstown is a museum, not a morality trophy. If MLB didn’t enforce real PED rules yet, Hall voters shouldn’t retroactively judge that time by standards that came later. Induct pre-policy stars with honest context—and hold post-policy violators to a different bar.
